The next level in sleep customisation

Today, we are launching an expanded range of DUX Comfort Top Pads, one of the three key replaceable components of our Sustainable Comfort bed collection. Sleepers will now have three firmness options to choose from, offering added flexibility to tailor their sleep experience. In other words, the world’s most customisable bed just got even more customisable.

The DUX Sustainable Comfort bed collection is built around a unique, component-based system that gives every sleeper the possibility to create a fully personalised experience. A core element of this is the DUX Comfort Top Pad, made from all-natural materials that provide contouring comfort along the whole length of the body. The top pads ensure added flexibility, thanks to a design that remains unfastened from the rest of the bed.

With traditional pillow-top beds, a topper pad is permanently affixed to the mattress. Although this topper enhances comfort through extra cushioning, it also limits the potential for long-term customisation, as the sleeper cannot adjust support as their physical needs change. The traditional design also makes it impossible to refresh the topper as it wears, limiting the lifespan of the entire bed.

The best sleep at every stage of life

The unfastened DUX Comfort Top Pad avoids these challenges, giving sleepers three levels of comfort to choose from: the soft top pad (5.5 cm in thickness), the medium (6.5 cm), and the firm (7.5 cm). Together with the unique Pascal System of internal cassettes for shoulder, hip and leg support, sleepers have a wide range of interchangeable options to customise comfort and support . As a result, it’s not only easier to buy the right bed for how you sleep today, but also to update that bed as your body develops over time.

This may not sound like a big deal, but it can be the difference between investing in a bed for the next five years – or investing in a bed for the next twenty-five. Requirements for health and wellbeing evolve through every phase of life, and sleep is no exception. The cause might be a pregnancy, an injury, or simply the variations to bone density and muscle mass that come with old age. But whenever our bodies undergo a change, our perception of comfort and the support we need for a good night’s sleep will change as well.

The infinity bed

Of course, nobody knows for sure what the future may bring. That’s why the DUX component-based system gives you the flexibility to make those decisions when the time comes, so you don’t have to predict tomorrow’s needs.

This has the added benefit of allowing you to refresh the comfort level of your bed, over and over again. Unlike other beds, where a mattress can come with a best-by date, the Sustainable Comfort system theoretically allows for infinite renewal. The customisation and sustainability of the design are not separate features; they go hand in hand. By creating a bed that gives you more flexibility, you can be comfortable making a purchase to last you far beyond the alternatives.
